Pilates Equipment

Pilates is based on the principle that before working the peripheral parts of the body, the core needs to be strong and stable.  Pilates seeks to develop an equal balance of abdominal and lower back musculature in order to build strength, agility and muscle tone in a balanced way.  Each Pilates exercise is a lesson in opposition.  Movement in one direction is lengthened and controlled into the next, while oppositional muscles stabilize.  This allows Pilates to lengthen and strengthen muscles simultaneously, helping to create an energized, pain-free, flexible and strong body.

Pilates equipment classes are the recommended class for any client recovering from injury or with special conditions.

The Beginner Pilates Equipment class will introduce you to the principles of Pilates and teach participants how to correctly and safely use the Pilates equipment such as the Reformer, Stability Chair and the Cadillac wall unit. Private Pilates Equipment

A personal training session is the most effective way to learn and practice the Pilates principles.  Our instructors will develop a customized program specific for each clients individual needs.  Whether you are recovering from a specific injury or enhancing your sport performance Pilates equipment is able to adapt and challenge any level.

We recommend that each new client first completes a minimum of 3 private Pilates equipment before moving into any Pilates equipment group classes. Private Pilates equipment classes can be booked at various times to fit your schedule.
