Choosing Your Class

Each client starting at the studio is entering with different goals and different physical backgrounds. At Balance studio we place incredible importance on finding out what your health goals are and then ensuring that we pair you up with the correct type of class and instructor that are going to compliment your individual needs.

 

In order to correctly place you in the appropriate class we prefer to talk to each client either in person or through the phone. During this conversation we will ask you for:

 

  • your health background
  • current and past activity levels
  • preferred time and day for classes
  • your current health and fitness goals

 

Once you have decided on which classes you wish to join, your health background and personal goals will be shared with the instructor of your class prior to your participation in the first class. This is an important step as it helps the instructor to understand any health concerns you may be facing and also it helps them to contribute to your success in achieving your health and fitness goals.

Pilates Equipment Classes:

If you are wishing to participate in the Pilates equipment classes, we first recommend that you complete 3 Pilates Private classes before joining a group class. Your private classes will introduce you to the Pilates equipment as well as allowing the instructor to evaluate the strong and weak areas of your body. After you have completed the private sessions, your instructor will provide approval for you to enter into the group classes.

 

For some clients dealing with particular health concerns, it may be more beneficial to remain in private classes where your individual needs can be better met.
